Mpact:LAB brought together staff from the City of Portland Bureau of Transportation, Oregon Metro and TriMet.

Portland, over years, has been widely recognized as a shining example of and beacon for the movement to build livable communities around transit. This is in part because of the way these organizations, along with numerous other partners, worked together and with the community. Thirty years later, with a new generation at the helm and new challenges to confront – in the wake of a global pandemic and with impacts to commuting patterns and downtown spaces – the convening provided time to celebrate a strong legacy of achievements and renew the commitment to collaboration in a spirit of innovation for community benefit.
