Trinity Ek
Director of the Mpact Innovators and Program Associate
Trinity Ek directs the Mpact Innovators, supports Mpact Transit + Community, Mpact:LAB, and Mpact:VOICES and manages Mpact's social media.
Trinity (they/she) manages and programs the organization’s emerging professionals’ program, the Mpact Innovators, supports the organization’s three programs Mpact Transit + Community, Mpact:LAB and Mpact:VOICES, and manages Mpact’s social media (find us on LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, and YouTube!). They crunch numbers and help out wherever needed for Mpact Transit + Community, work with local stakeholder groups through Mpact:LAB, and write blogs for Mpact:VOICES.
Trinity is deeply passionate about the ways we connect with each other and the world around us. Before starting at Mpact, they worked as a Seeds Student Worker at the Minnesota Department of Transportation in the Office of Transportation System Management on the Policy Planning Unit. They graduated from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, with a degree in Urban Studies and minors in Geographic Information Science and Environmental Sciences, Policy and Management. During their time at the University, they conducted research about the urban environment which is published in the journal, Open Rivers. They also participated in community-engaged learning opportunities, such as HECUA’s Environmental Justice Program.
Trinity is an avid walker and enjoys taking transit to and in new places – their transit card collection grows with each trip. They love fiber arts, camping, reading, and (being bad at) trivia. They were born and raised in Minnesota. Trinity currently lives in Dallas, TX.
