Carol Ketcherside
Director of Administration
Carol supports all aspects of the organization’s administrative and operations processes.
Carol Ketcherside, AICP is Director of Administration and manages human resources, operational, administrative, financial and technological matters for Mpact. She also serves as Board Liaison.
Carol is a 40-year transit nerd, most recently working at Valley Metro in Phoenix, AZ as the Deputy Director for Service Planning and Scheduling. Prior roles at Valley Metro included oversight of HR, Procurement, IT, and Risk Management. Carol previously worked in various capacities with the Topeka Metropolitan Transit Authority in Topeka, KS, and VIA Metropolitan Transit in San Antonio. She also served for 12 years as executive director of the South West Transit Association (SWTA)—an eight-state regional transit association serving southwestern states.
Carol has a Master’s degree in Urban Planning and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Design (Architecture), both from the University of Kansas. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners, and WTS (Advancing Women in Transportation). She has served on many professional boards and committees, including the Mpact National Steering Committee (2022 – 2024) and the American Public Transportation Association Executive Committee as Vice Chair of State Affairs (2000 to 2003).
Carol enjoys live musical theater, music, travel, family, and dog agility training and competition. She was born and raised in St. Louis, MO, and has lived in Kansas and in San Antonio, TX. She currently lives in Phoenix, AZ.
