Philadelphia, PA

Dr.Tariem Burroughs has worked at the intersection of health, education, and community relations for much of his career in the public health sector. Dr. Burroughs has always had the drive to make programs sustainable yet innovative, fresh, and accessible in hopes of providing communities with the resources that they need to thrive. He brings this same drive to his role as Chair of the SEPTA Citizen Advisory Committee and aims to empower and aid those to speak up about how public transit IS public health concern. He believes that SEPTA is more than just trains and trolleys, but also a means that will enable riders to address social inequities.
