Stephen Mikicich is a Registered Professional Planner (RPP) with a master’s degree in Community and Regional Planning, and a diverse career spanning over 30 years in the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors. Stephen has led many ‘first of their kind’ planning initiatives, and his work has been recognized with several awards of excellence.
As Manager, Community Planning and Major Projects, Stephen is overseeing two major development plans for the Township of Langley: 200 Street 2040, a future transit oriented-development corridor supported by bus rapid transit; and the Willowbrook Community Plan update to guide the transformation of a low-density suburban commercial centre into a future transit-oriented community along an extension of the regional SkyTrain system.
He is also a frequent commentator on planning and political issues in Vancouver BC, and a director of Team for a Livable Vancouver, a municipal political party established in 2021.
