Daniel Leal

Daniel Leal holds a masterÕs degree in architecture and urban planning and is a certified urban designer by the Simon Fraser University (Vancouver, Canada). He has 25 years of experience in the fields of comprehensive planning, urban design, transportation planning, public engagement, construction management and real estate development. Daniel currently is the Manager of Strategic Planning for VIA Metropolitan Transit (San Antonio, TX), and has previously worked for City organizations designing and developing shared-use trails, corridor planning, transit-oriented development, zoning and land use, micromobility studies, inter-agency coordination initiatives, and innovative public engagement plans. Daniel is originally from Spain and Canada, but now lives in San Antonio, TX. In his spare time, he enjoys biking the trail system, and at a more fundament level, he loves to seek what is authentic and culturally relevant in the cities and new places he gets to visit.
